Day 1 Welcome!
Arrive at Juan Santa Maria international airport
where your friendly guides will be waiting to transport you
to your first exotic destination. From San Jose we'll head
up into the highlands of Costa Rica into the Los Angeles Cloud
Forest. Our hotel sits atop a small mountain and offers a
spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding forest. In our
opinion, this is one of the most serine, tranquil places on
earth. |

Day 2 Exploring the Forest
Wake at you leisure and we'll spend our day exploring
the stunning natural beauty that is all around us. The forest
has a multitude of trails that cater to any ability level.
This area is home to many exotic birds and other creatures
so keep your eyes peeled! Horses
are available for those who prefer to ride.

Day 3 Manual Antonio
After Breakfast, we'll start toward our next
tropical destination. Manual Antonio is a quaint beachfront
community offering lots of fun activities. We'll arrive in
the early afternoon so the rest of the day is yours to explore
the town, the beach or a poolside cocktail. We do suggest
an after diner stroll on the beach-the sunsets here are absolutely
breathtaking.

Day 4 Manual Antonio
Today you have a tough choice to make. Will you
go deep-sea fishing, swim with the
dolphins, take a cruise on a costal sailboat or simply frolic
on the beach. Difficult decision, but nobody ever said life
was easy.
|
Day 5 Manual Antonio
Today we'll take a moderate hike
through Manual Antonio National Park. You are virtually assured
of seeing monkeys, iguanas, birds of all description and,
if we're very lucky, maybe even an ocelot (a small jungle
cat). We'll take along one of the park naturalists so we get
all the inside information as well. After the hike, you can
spend the day in whatever manner you'd like-a good massage
might be in order.

Poas Volcano, Costa Rica |
Day 6 Poas Volcano
Today we'll head to one of Costa Rica's most
beautiful volcanoes. Located in its own National Park, Volcan
Poas is truly one of the most memorable destinations in Costa
Rica. The volcano last erupted in the mid 1990s and has since
been relatively quiet. We'll drive right up to the crater
overlook and stare down at a stunning opaque green lake that
is always set at simmer! The crater rim itself is surrounded
by a miniature cloud forest with lots of short hiking possibilities.
Next, we're off to our plush mountainside hotel to reminisce
about the day's adventures.

Day 7 San Jose
Sleep in, it's been a busy week. After breakfast
we'll start making our way back to San Jose. Once we check
into our hotel, we'll do some exploring around the city and
maybe pick up some souvenirs. We'll dine in one of the city's
many fine restaurants and then the evening is yours. Head
back to the hotel or check out the city's nightlife.
