Manuel Antonio National Park is widely considered one of the most beautiful places in Costa Rica and is regularly listed in the 1,000 places you need to see in the world before you die lists. This oasis of tropical beauty is filled with evergreen forests that grow right up to the high tide line of expansive white sand beaches. It's the prefect area for hiking, swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing. Average daily temperature is 81 degrees and the Pacific Ocean is so warm that you can spend all day among its gentle surf.

Although Manuel Antonio is one of the smallest national parks in Costa Rica it boasts an amazing array of plants, flowers, birds and animals. The park is filled with over 180 species of birds and includes over 100 species of animals such as Sloths, Agoutis, Iguanas, Peccaries, Armadillos, Coatis, Raccoons, Squirrel and Howler Monkeys, and Capuchins. Manual Antonio National Park also includes 12 little isles just off the coast and have reported very numerous sightings of dolphins and even migrating whales.

The area surrounding Manual Antonio has a rich history of pirates and supposedly Red Beard buried his treasure in the area. The area was also the site where Ponce De Leon searched for the Fountain of Youth.
